They carry the same EL34s that Groove Tubes sells at a greater markup,
and also carry Sovteks, which in most cases do a really good job.
The Sovtek 12AX7WXT works for all the 12AX7/12AT7/7025s in Fender blackface
amps and sounds SO much better than Chinese-made 12AX7/”7025″s, which is all
that Ruby Tubes and Groove Tubes offer, I believe. The difference is really
audible. To top it off, the Sovteks cost $4.90 from AES. I once paid $13.50
apiece for GT 12AX7s in a store, which I later discovered were the same
Chinese-made type as Ruby Tubes, Fenders, etc.

I gather that getting good 6V6s (for the Deluxe) can really be a problem,
no matter which brand you buy, unless you can find some New Old Stock U.S.
brand specimens.
