I’ve tried both in a blackface Vibrolux Reverb and Princeton. IMO, the
Kendricks sound more like the old Jensens and “break up” pretty
easily, while the Fender Alnico Blue comes fairly close and can handle
a little more before distorting. I’m not really sure which I prefer;
so far it’s a toss-up for me. The Kendrick does have a bit more “shimmer”
on the top end, at least in my amps.

I don’t know about the Fender Reissue 10. Is that a ceramic magnet
speaker? Is it currently going into any of their production amps?
Anyway, I just bought a pair of the Fender blue-frame Alnicos to
replace the old ceramic Oxfords in my 64 Tremolux cab. (These are
speakers they’re putting in the new Custom Vibrolux Reverb, the
VibroKing, the reissue Bassman and a few others, but NOT the Blues
Deville 4-10 for some reason.) I’m VERY pleased with the sound of
these speakers. Same basic tonal qualities of the original speakers,
but they’re a bit brighter and snappier as you might imagine fresh
new speakers to be. These are nominally 30W speakers and they WILL
break up a bit in my amp above about 5, but it’s a very smooth one.
Just check out the cool sound of the Custom Vibrolux Reverb.
Price? I got them for $55 each special order at Guitar Center.
Probably can be obtained elsewhere (MCM?) for cheaper. They after
all are made by Eminence (as are the MojoTone MP10R’s), but I
wanted to make sure I got the SAME speakers I heard in the new
Vibrolux. Which is what I got.

If I were you I’d get the Mojotones; don’t let the Eminence source be an issue
for you. As far as I’m concerned, the Eminence alnico 6-oz. slug 20-watt
speaker is the best vintage 10 available, especially given the price. Consider
this: many high-end vintage-ish amp builders such as Holland and Victoria use
the Mojo/Eminence 10. I have 4 unlabelled Eminences in my Mesa Blue Angel and
they sound great. Nice balance low-to-high and nice woody tone when pushed
hard.
The Fender reissue 10’s are almost certainly Eminence (I’d bet $500 they are)
and the Kendricks are overpriced.
