Mark,

You’re right black face Dual Showmans were different for Twin Reverbs,
they lacked the reverb and a gain stage (the second half of the reverb
recovery tube).

It was the silver face Dual Showman Reverbs that had the same chassis and
circuitry as a silverface Twin Reverb and a Quad Reverb. Super Sixs and
Vibrosonics were the same thing with a different output transformer.
