Hello amp dabblers,

I’ve been messing around with a piece of software recently, to
calculate the frequency responses of different tone stacks.

Those who have used the excellent Tone Stack Simulator written by Dave
Cigna will know the kind of thing, although I’ve added the James
(Baxandall) circuit as this seems to have raised a bit of interest in
here over the years.

It’s due for final release on the 26th May, but a beta version is
available for download right now at:

http://www.duncanamps.simplenet.com/tsc

Any comments on it would be appreciated before I roll out the final
version in a couple of weeks, hence my little post here.

Probably best to stick any comments on this thread rather than mail me
‘cos I’ll end up getting lots of identical emails asking for the same
thing 😉

Oh yeah, the nicest thing about it – it’s free…

Happy stack twiddling, and roll on BBQ season!

Buy the Book!

I cleaned up my tab for Sonny Boy's Help Me and made it into a short book. There's a Kindle version for 99 cents, and if you buy the paperback you get the Kindle free.
