Saratoga Springs Guitar Show

I took a few pictures at the Saratoga Springs Guitar show on 3/29/2002. It's a 3 hour drive to this little show, but I always find lots of nice bargains. Here are some cool amps and a mic.

These are a Harmony 415 on the left with two brown 12" Jensens. It sounded great at only $125 and on the right was an old Ampeg with the tweed style layout. It had an arcing tube - probably a bad filter cap. At $125 it was a bargain in spite of the lousy re-tolex. If I was working I would have bought both. As it was, I spent $160 at this table.

This is the same table. These are two $49 Silvertones.

Here is an nice condition 1482 tucked away in the corner for $149.

I don't remember seeing this brand before, but the grill cloth is Magnatone all the way. It had two 6V6's in it for just $100.

An EV with stand for $75. They wouldn't come down to my personal limit of $35 a mic so I left it.

A Premier model 90 at the outrageous price of $250. I left it where I found it.

Very cool, very clean National Valco with 2 6V6's. $300

This Fender Princeton was brought in by a walk-in who sold it to a dealer for $500. It was too clean to be real. The tolex was new but I don't know what else was "off".

Below are a couple of panorama shots.

Buy the Book!

I cleaned up my tab for Sonny Boy's Help Me and made it into a short book. There's a Kindle version for 99 cents, and if you buy the paperback you get the Kindle free.
