| My brother, Larry Graham, is a great guitar player and an
out-of-control collector of anything that has to do with Guitars, Amplifiers
and the Blues. I went to photograph his collection of odd Microphones, but
I wound up having to take pictures of a few of his amps. Here they are with
a tentative description. I will get him to fill in the dates eventually.
There are dozens more amps, luckily I ran out of film.
Note: These amps are NOT for sale. They are to look at, and if you live anywhere near the lower Hudson valley you can drop by on a weekend and try them out. I took these pictures with a disposable camera and had the results put on Kodak Photo CD. They were cropped and converted using Paint Shop Pro 3.11 . I am very pleased with the results. The Microphones all came out fuzzy or had flash reflections on them. I think that I need a better lense and daylight for the mics. Silver Face Champ Perfect condition, Nice for harp SF Fender Bassman Head One of several we found in Larry's attic Stack of Heads, Bassmans and a Black Face Bandmaster Beautiful '56 Tweed Vibrolux Guitar Players go nuts for these '60s Black Face Princeton Perfect Condition, Great Harp Amp 50's Premier Perfect Harp Amp, It's got the look and the tone Silver Face Super Reverb Guitar player's Dream machine. (notice the grass. this picture was taken at the sunday Central Nyack outdoor Jam .) Black Face Fender Band Master Two 10 inch Jensons. Changed to a Brown VibroVerb by Tony Bruno of Bruno Amplification. Late 60's Black Face Pro-Reverb It would sound nice with harmonica, but guitar players only get to use this amp. It's been modified to a tweed circuit. Has EV SRO's. '66 Black Face Bassman Head in a custom cabinet The cabinet is made to fit the bassman amp chassis and has a Jenson 15 in it. It's covered with white tolex. This combo was designed to be used by a harp player. The amp tends to feed back in confined areas - too much power! Ampeg Reverb-R-Rocket Great Harp Amp. Good sound and lots of power. It doesn't feed back until about 6. I can finally be heard above the band. ($100 at a garage sale!)
