Auburn Guitar Show
The Auburn Guitar show was a nice trip in the rain for 3-1/2 hours, but I scored $100 worth of mics. I am putting a couple on eBay, but the rest go into my personal collection. I got a 1941 Shure Brown Bullet and a 1960 JT-30. I also picked up a Shure 510C with a very hot controlled reluctance element. (They are not for sale).
Here are some pics.
This is an old Premier Twin 12 chassis sitting neglected in the corner.
Hiding under the corner of a table was this nice Premier Model 120.
This clean 1963 120R went for $275.
This Premier model 90 remained unsold with a $300 price tag, but the older two-tone at $225 was out the door before I remembered to get my camera.
This table had some nice old mics and cool amps - prices were a little high for me.
My favorite was this cool old Premier Twin 12 hiding under a table. It remained unsold at $275.
The next show is on Long Island, but the prices there are too rich for my blood. I'll be spending a weekend in Toronto on vacation in June to check out the guitar show there. It's not very big, but the prices are in Canadian dollars which seems to make things cheaper.
